Reuse to the Max

I am not a fashionista by any stretch of the imagination, but I recently found myself riveted by video highlights from a Paris Fashion Week show. The designer who caught my attention was 10-year-old Max Alexander. Max is a fourth grader originally from Colorado and currently living in Los Angeles. Max has an artistic soul, a supportive family, and a huge social media following. They have their own design label ("Couture to the Max") and became a Guinness World Record holder for the youngest runway fashion designer in 2023 after participation in Denver Fashion Week.

Max shares my interest in sustainability and reuse. The 15 dresses featured at the Paris show were created from materials that were either inspired by nature (and thus, plant-based and biodegradable), or upcycled vintage or surplus fabrics. Check out a reel showing some highlights from the show with explanations of the materials used at https://www.facebook.com/reel/1919297572057397

Read more about Max in this piece from CBS News Los Angeles and visit their website at https://maxalexander.shop/, where you can find links to their social media accounts.
